Xx My First Paycheck xX

Wee hee! Bought a PSP with my first paycheck! Don't have to borrow my brother's one anymore!

My very own PSP! =D

Alright fine... It isn't exactly time for my first paycheck yet. Expected to come in a weeks' time. My brother bought it before I told him to. -.-" Didn't actually want to spend money before it lands on my hands, you know? Oh well, what's done is done. I'd get it sooner or later anyway. Hopefully, Harvard gets one too. So then, we can play when the final semester starts. Ha.

Anyway, went out with my classmates last Friday. We went to Settlers Cafe again. This time round, I don't know why, it wasn't the same as the first time we went. Somehow, it wasn't as mad as I expected it to be. Maybe it's just 'coz we're kinda bored with the games already.

We then headed to Al Azhar at Clementi for supper. Seriously, anyone can go pull the "No Pork" stunt at that shop and I wouldn't give a damn about it. Why? $1.50 for a strip of cheese on pan fried dough isn't exactly what I'd call "fair enough".

Spot the cheese!

Lastly, we spent the night at Partyworld KTV at Shenton Way. I can't believe I went. It was mostly due to the reason that there were no bus services at that hour. I shall never step into another KTV again! Ha! But I still sang a few English songs la. Call me Kantang would you. Lol! WJ was the one that wasted his money there. He sang only one song la.

Sing WJ, Sing!

Anyway, left Partyworld at 5.30am. Shared a cab with Shaun and got home at 6am. That's about it, I guess. Work tomorrow. How utterly boring. Ha!

Till next time, Au revoir!

Xx Semester 4 Results xX

Didn't expect B for French. I suppose if I got B for this, the Business students in the same class would have gotten D. TPFF, was disappointing. Those who claim they really "buang", turn out to get A+. (Ha. Very direct hor, Lid Yinn! Lol.) I expected A+ initially, yet in the end still A+ after moderation. EM3 was also another letdown. So much for "EM3 being easier than EM2". They just had to kick up the difficulty a notch this sem. How unfortunately coincidental. The rest are well within range of acceptance la. Ha. Sigh. Please let me get an A for IAP. =)

P.S. I only know Yingjie from 2A05, the equivalent of Weijie from my class, achieved GPA 4.0. No offence intended, WJ. =P

Xx First week at work xX

Just started attachment this Monday. The first few days were pretty boring, but as you kinda start talking to your colleagues, then well, it's a different case.

Generally, the people are Sulzer are really friendly, especially the bunch of people I sit with. Anyway, they poke fun of me la, sometimes. They make fun of everyone, so it's not an IA-student exclusive. Ha.

I've been told I speak to people like I talk to my Ah Pa. They say that I reply to their questions like as if "Your Ah Pa talking to you, but you're lazy to reply, so you just 'Orh. Hm. Ok.'"-kind of way. It's kinda true though, when I think of it. Ha. You can call the boss (with the exception of the "bigger" shots) by his name, which is pretty surprising. Ha.

By the way, I've been given work to do since Monday. Unlike most of my other classmates. Ha. Basically, what I've learnt in the past week is... Counting hardware. Lol. Pretty lame, but at least there's something to do. My colleague gave me, like, 12 diagrams of some plant (Not the greens) components and taught me how to count the hardware. The diagrams were damn complex, but I finally finished it today. He was expecting me to finish them next week or something. Ha. Apparently, they need to know the number of hardware to estimate a part of the cost. So stressful! First day already give me this kinda job. I can't take a picture of it 'coz it's supposed to be confidential.

But, I did take a picture of my workspace. Ok, it was my workspace, which was in front of the Project Manager's cubicle, until they asked me to move again today. I moved thrice already! Now I'm sitting in the front, right outside all the major managers' office. I'd rather sit at the back la! Everytime I move, I have to shift the PC with me. Stupid lah!! Ha. Anyway, I'm probably gonna be stuck there for the rest of the 6 months. There's nobody to my left and right, some new guy arriving next monday to my left back diagonal, and the NUS IA student behind me. Aiya! Hopefully still can have a good time there, but it's gonna be quite hard, 'coz the 'hip' crowd has been relocated behind. Want to do some mindless chatter also can't. Damn! =/

The company had its annual Chinese New Year lunch today! Ha. Can go Lo Hei (Toss Yu Sheng). We went to a restaurant nearby. I heard that it was better than last year, but it's probably most likely due to the presence of some guests in the company. Ha. The food was alright la and it's free for us, so what can we say. Ha. There were big scallops though, and 3 for each person! Great! =D

Ok la. That's about it. Probably not gonna have much updates over the IA period.
Till next time, Au revoir!

P.S. Sunburn, Best song ever! =D

My beloved "previous workspace". Sigh. Had to tou pai. Cannot be too obvious, you know.

Lo Hei Seafood Lunch! Wootz!
